Today, Borys Paton celebrates his 100th birthday! It is difficult to find a person whose contribution to the development of welding science would be just as significant and versatile!

Borys Paton – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, President of the International Association of Academies of Sciences, honorary member of the Club of Rome, person who twice received the Hero of Socialist Work award, Hero of Ukraine. Author and co-author of over 720 inventions (including 500 foreign patents), over 1200 publications, including 20 scientific monographs. He has been dedicating more than 75 years of his life to science, and continues to lead the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine with great dedication and success!

The team of the Welding Equipment Department of the E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute congratulates Borys Yevhenovych on his Jubilee and wishes him much health and strength to continue his work for the benefit of Ukrainian and world science! May the life of this great man be full of joyful moments and new successes that will inspire young scientists from all over the world to great achievements!
